“We are set up in such a way that it doesn't matter whether a part is tiny or weighs two and a half tons,” says Daniel Hinnen, managing director of the Hinnen welding shop, who himself has many years of experience in the industry. He has equipped his workshop with four semi-automatic laser systems from ASKIAS.
Laser welding offers clear advantages: Because only a small amount of heat gets into the material to be welded, it does not warp. And the welds can be carried out true to the shape. The team at the Hinnen welding shop works with welding wires from 0.12 millimeters to 0.6 millimeters thick and can weld stainless and normal steel as well as bronze and the difficult to process materials aluminum and copper. “No problem for us, we've figured out a trick,” says Daniel Hinnen laughing.
