In tool and mold making, materials such as special tool steels or hardened steels as well as a variety of alloys and composite materials are the first choice for withstanding heavy loads. High-alloy tool steel, stainless and acid-resistant steel, cast iron, cast steel or stainless steel and chrome steel — our systems are perfectly tailored to this. Copper alloys, titanium, aluminum alloys or powder steels can also be easily processed with ASKIAS systems.

In a dynamic industrial environment, time plays a decisive role. Thanks to our demand-oriented warehousing and the high level of vertical integration within the ASKEA Group, we are able to guarantee short delivery times that are not usual on the market. Our laser welding systems are ready for delivery within 16 weeks.

Whether for tool repair or mold repair with joint welding/deposition welding or laser welding in the development and production of tools — ASKIAS laser systems offer you maximum precision and flexibility. This gives you high-quality, consistently reproducible results in tool and mold making. There are two main reasons for this:

  1. By using the latest fiber lasers from our sister company AUXXOS, you get extremely precise energy input and therefore accurate welding results with minimal post-processing. This is particularly important for demanding tasks such as tool repair using laser welding.
  2. Thanks to the precise control of our system, you always have full control over the process in both manual, semi-automatic and CNC-programmed control. This allows you to achieve sustainable, high-quality results that are reproducible. This makes our precision laser welding solutions particularly attractive for tools.

The demand for modern laser systems such as our ASKIAS adaption is not just one of high quality and durable welds. Our laser systems are also optimized to respond flexibly to the various requirements in tool and mold making:

  • Particularly stressed areas of the tools can be additionally hardened by laser welding, which ensures a longer tool shelf life.
  • On our laser welding systems, you can also process complex shapes and contours with up to 5 automated and 7 manual axes.
  • They can process all part sizes from micro to macro, from precision mechanical parts to machine parts and tool components weighing tons.
  • Thanks to the interplay of manual and partially automatic control, you can process everything from the processing of individual items (e.g. repairs) to small and medium-sized series on one system. On request, the software automatically calculates a path offset so that you can easily draw accurate, parallel laser welds.

Precision = durability

Thanks to the precise energy input of fiber lasers, you can achieve almost perfect welding results without post-processing. This has a positive effect on the quality and therefore durability of the workpieces welded with our systems.
