Across all industries, the components of machines, systems and means of transportation, among others, are exposed to a wide variety of loads. This leads to wear and even breakage of the corresponding object. These are often individually shaped individual parts, the replacement of which would entail enormous costs. In these cases, it is a good idea to use laser welding for repair and repair. In the event of wear, additional material is applied to the corresponding area using laser cladding. In this way, layers with a thickness of several centimeters can be applied. This is ideal for compensating for wear on the corresponding components. Breakages can be melted using a high-energy laser beam and firmly connected together again using a welding wire.

With the ASKIAS Adaption (stationary laser processing) and ASKIAS Agilion (location-flexible laser processing) laser systems, we have developed two systems that have established themselves as all-rounders for open repair welding across industries. Whether as an external service provider or in-house — repair welding often means working on individual pieces and small series.

Our customers use ASKIAS laser systems primarily for precision welding and working on complex or hard-to-reach parts, with high-quality work results primarily from the good combination of performance and flexibility of the system:

1. Laser & laser power:

  • By using the latest fiber lasers from our sister company AUXXOS, you get extremely precise energy input and therefore accurate welding results with little post-processing. Laser welding produces high-quality welds with minimal deformation and less heat influence. This results in a longer lifetime of the repaired component.
  • In addition, the freely adjustable laser parameters with memory function ensure that you can quickly and perfectly adapt to any new task. At the same time, the memory function allows you to easily reproduce these work results.

2. Flexibility of the system itself:

  • Work results of the highest, reproducible quality.
  • Wide range of materials for processing.
  • Welds on complex components and contours thanks to up to 5 automated and 7 manual axes.
  • Processing hard-to-reach parts, especially with the mobile ASKIAS Agilion.
  • Processing of all parts from micro to macro, from fine sensors, actuators, electronic components and precision mechanical parts to large tools or turbine blades.
  • Thanks to the interplay of manual and semi-automatic control, you can process everything from the processing of individual pieces to small and medium-sized series on one system. On request, the software automatically calculates a path offset so that you can draw very accurate, parallel welds.
  • Thanks to the precise control of our system, you always have full control over the process in both manual and partially automatic control and can achieve high-quality results over the long term.
