ASKIAS laser welding systems master the wide range of materials in the automotive & aerospace sector. Whether aluminum alloys for lightweight components, titanium for engine components, or high-alloy steel for robust vehicle parts — with our systems, you have maximum flexibility in the choice of materials. Laser welding in the automotive sector as well as in aviation and space travel has the highest safety requirements. Quality is not an option here, but a necessity. The load capacity of a weld can determine whether serious damage, e.g. to wear parts, causes the end product to fail or whether a high-quality, low-maintenance product is created. It is therefore only through the use of high-precision systems that it is possible to ensure that the parameters of all finished parts meet legal and, of course, internal quality requirements, which in turn influences safety and customer satisfaction. Laser welding systems from ASKIAS offer decisive advantages here, which come into play in these demanding industrial sectors.

Both in automotive engineering and in the aerospace sector, we have established ourselves as a reliable partner for our customers when it comes to precision welding. This in turn is primarily due to two reasons:

  1. Unrivalled precision: Laser welding in the automotive & aerospace sector requires precision down to the millimetre. By using the latest fiber lasers from our sister company AUXXOS, you get extremely precise energy input and therefore accurate welding results with little post-processing.
  2. Thanks to the precise control of our system, you always have full control over the welding process in both manual and partially automatic control and can achieve high-quality results over the long term.

However, the demand for modern laser systems such as our ASKIAS adaption is not just one of high quality and durable welds. Our laser systems are also optimized to respond flexibly to different processing requirements:

  • From laser welding on engine blocks, cylinder heads, classic body and engine components to complex components, you can perform all welds with ASKIAS systems — virtually regardless of the material.
  • With our machines, you can easily laser weld complex shapes and contours as well as hard-to-reach parts with up to 5 automated and 7 manual axes.
  • They can process all part sizes from micro to macro, from gears, sensors, electronic contacts and injector nozzles to engine components, body parts or turbine blades.
  • Thanks to the interplay of manual and partially automatic control with teach-in function through to CNC control, you can process everything from the processing of individual pieces (e.g. repairs) to small and medium-sized series on one system.

Precision = durability

Thanks to the precise energy input of fiber lasers, you can achieve almost perfect welding results without post-processing. This has a positive effect on the quality and therefore durability of the workpieces welded with our systems.

With our systems, you can cover a wide range of materials, complex shapes and sizes (micro to macro processing) on one system. They invest in extremely high-quality, versatile laser systems that are used by relevant aerospace companies.
