ASKIAS laser systems are characterized by a high degree of flexibility in the selection of materials. Whether high-alloy tool steel, stainless and acid-resistant steel, cast iron, cast steel, stainless steel and chrome steel, copper alloys, titanium, aluminum alloys or powder steels. Materials such as nickel-based alloys, magnesium alloys, and composites are widely used in mechanical engineering due to their unique properties. These can also be easily processed on our systems.

Thanks to our demand-oriented warehousing and the high level of vertical integration within the ASKEA Group, we are able to guarantee short delivery times that are not usual on the market. We have established ourselves as one of the market leaders for laser welding in mechanical engineering, both in precise repair welding of wear parts and in joint welding of components. However, the requirements for modern laser systems in mechanical engineering go beyond high quality and durable welds. Our laser systems are optimized to respond flexibly to the various requirements in mechanical and plant engineering:

  • From laser welding on wear parts to housing parts to complex components, you can perform all welds with ASKIAS systems — virtually regardless of the material.
  • With up to 5 automated and 7 manual axes, you can easily process even complex shapes and contours.
  • They can process components of all sizes from micro to macro, from precision mechanical parts to machine parts weighing tons.
  • Thanks to the combination of manual and partially automatic control, you can process everything from the processing of individual items (e.g. repairs) to small and medium-sized series on one system.

Precision = durability

Thanks to the precise energy input of fiber lasers, you can achieve almost perfect welding results without post-processing. This has a positive effect on the quality and therefore durability of the workpieces welded with our systems.
