‍ ‍ The welding technology center (STZ) from WilLich in the Düsseldorf area has made a name for itself regionally and nationally with pinpoint laser welding and impresses with its high quality. The advantages of laser welding lie primarily in the precise and precise input of energy. Due to the minimal effect of heat, there are only minor structural changes and less thermal distortion. Among other things, we have a stationary CNC-controlled five-axis laser processing system with a pulsed 4.4 kW fiber laser. The beam quality is up to four times more efficient than conventional Nd:YAG lasers. ‍
Since 2021, STZ has also been operating a flexible “Agilion” plant. With this setup, the STZ team is able to weld complex welding geometries, such as circles, arcs, lines or contours, in three-dimensional space, both with and without the addition of additional materials — not only stationary but also directly at the customer's site.
The quality of our welds is so high that no or only minimal reworking is necessary even in the visible area of components. With its systems, STZ processes workpieces ranging in size from just a few µm to metre-long molded components weighing tons, such as turbine blades.
