The mechanical focus control unit (MKF) ensures a constant focus position for maximum process reliability during laser welding. It is calibrated to the focus lens unit so that the absolute zero point of the focus position can be precisely touched using a dial gauge. With the help of the MFK, the focus position is determined and then the eyepiece is adjusted. As a result, the focus position is perfect even when different employees work on the system.
